They’ve done it again!

They’ve done it again!

The date for getting home inspector licenses in Ohio got pushed back again.

Now, July 1, 2020 is the new deadline.

As the Ohio Department of Commerce pointed out (in its deep analysis) recently, “This means between now and June 30, 2020, a person is permitted to conduct home inspections in Ohio without a license.”

Because rules for home inspector licensing still are being reviewed by JCARR (the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review), the former April 5, 2020 deadline cannot be enforced.

Ohio’s new home inspector licensing law was signed on January 4, 2019.  For a summary of the Ohio law and PLI’s break down of the law, go to    https://homeinspectionschool.info/2019/10/3-days-left-to-grandfather-in-ohio/ or https://www.lsc.ohio.gov/documents/gaDocuments/analyses128/s0014-i-128.pdf.

     PLI will keep you posted.
